Certificates and High Yield Club

As a credit union, Brooklyn Coop offers “Share Certificates” instead of Certificates of Deposit (CDs) because our member-owners earn dividends instead of interest.  Functionally the accounts operate the same.  We offer three (3), six (6) and twelve (12) month Share Certificates; current rates are listed below.  The minimum balance for any Share Certificate is $500 and there is an early withdrawal penalty.

Another very popular savings option is the High Yield Club account, a hybrid of a CD and a savings account. Like a CD, the funds you deposit into a High Yield Club account are locked.  Like a savings account, you can add to those funds at any time, building up the account and earning even more.
