  • Unexpired passport (valid for the next 6 months)
  • Proof of address (mailed letter or bill)
  • If living with an organization, a letter from them as proof

  • $70 ITIN application fee
  • $25 membership fee
  • $30 minimum savings deposit

  • Insured up to $250,000 by the federal government

⏱ What Happens During the Appointment?

  • Appointment lasts 30–40 minutes
  • Review your documents
  • Complete ITIN forms
  • Prepare IRS submission package
  • Open your bank account
  • Pay the fee and deposit
  • Collect your paperwork

The IRS will mail your ITIN within 8–12 weeks.

Your information is confidential. We do not share information with outside agencies unless required to by a government issued subpoena. The IRS is now required to share ITIN applicant information with the Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement when they make a request.

Without a passport, you cannot apply for an ITIN through Brooklyn Coop. However, you can still open a bank account.
